It’s no big secret that it can be hard to get organic reach on social media. If you’re willing to invest a bunch of money into ad campaigns and boosted posts, then you may see faster results. But the truth is that social media platforms (pretty much all of them) now use algorithms that make it harder than ever to get seen.
If you want to get seen, you have to create high-quality content on a consistent basis that grabs your audience’s attention. Because the algorithm depends on solid engagement on your post before it gets pushed into a wider audience, it’s absolutely vital that your audience notices your content.
That’s why it’s so important to create eye-catching video content that will pull your followers in, leading to more enagement and more reach. And one of the best ways to grab attention is the fast-scrolling world is to style your video captions in a way that makes them pop. With Zubtitle, it’s easy! We’re here to show you how you can use Zubtitle to style video captions for maximum reach on social media in just a few clicks.
To get started, simply login to Zubtitle or create a new account for free! Once you’re logged in, just upload a video and you can begin styling your captions.
When you’re styling your video captions, you have a huge library of fonts to choose from, so be sure to pick one that matches your branding. Because our library includes everything in the Google-font family, there’s a good chance that you’ll find at least one of your brand fonts there. If not pick something similar.
Using the same font (or the same few fonts) for every video is a good idea because it makes your videos more visibly associated with your brand immediately, making it more likely that people will stop scrolling and watch.
Pro tip: Before you download your video, make sure you’ve watched it through beginning to end to make sure that every word is readable in the font you chose.
When it comes to choosing the right colors, your best bet is always to pick ones that contrast well. Light text on dark background (or vice versa) typically look the best. Resist the temptation to go crazy with colors - it’s a good idea to have at least one neutral color in your palette. If you’re really struggling, just stick with black and white! It’s a classic, and those colors will go well with practically any video.
Keep in mind that you can also set the transparency of your background. So if you don’t love the way the colors of the text and the background are working together, try turning the transparency all the way down so that the background is clear! If you want only text on the screen, this is the way to do it.
Now here’s the real secret to styling your video captions for maximum reach on social media… if you make individual words stand out, you’re far more likely to garner attention and make people stop to watch your video.
To make one word, or a couple of words, really pop simply highlight the words you want to emphasize from the Text Editor screen. When you do, a pop-up editor will appear that allows you to customize font, size, color, capitalization, and more.
