When you share links to your website (or other content) on social media, it doesn’t look great to share a long URL. Plus, there’s no way for you to tell how much traffic you’re driving through that link. That’s why Bit.ly exists. Bit.ly is a URL shortening service and link management platform. When you paste a URL into Bit.ly, you get a shortened URL. You can then customize the backend of the URL and track clicks on the link.
