But, if you want to add subtitles, then you have to find a method to do so that doesn’t waste a ton of time (i.e. transcribing your own audio) or money (i.e. purchasing expensive captioning software).

That’s why we’re now offering Zubtitle as a free subtitle generator. You can use Zubtitle to transcribe your audio and convert it to timed subtitles. You can also use the Zubtitle editing software to add progress bar animations and custom headlines, include a logo, trim & resize your video, and more.

How to Use Our Free Subtitle Generator

If you want to add subtitles to your video for free, you can do it with just a few clicks. Follow the steps below to use Zubtitle’s free subtitle generator:

1. Upload Your Video

First, you need to sign up for a free account (or log in to your existing one). Once you’ve logged in, you can upload your video easily by clicking the yellow “Add New Video” button on the right-hand side of the screen.

2. Edit Your Subtitles

Once you’ve uploaded your video, Zubtitle’s state-of-the-art software will automatically transcribe your audio and convert it into timed captions. All you have to do is read through the captions and see if there are any edits you’d like to make. You can make any necessary spelling and grammatical changes or shift the timing of the captions by pointing and clicking directly in the editor.

3. Style Your Subtitles

You’re almost done! It’s time to style your captions and video. You’re welcome to customize everything by choosing the font and colors for your captions, adjusting the background color, adding a logo & progress bar, manually resizing, etc. Or you can style your entire video with one click by selecting a pre-made template (you’ll find them in the Templates menu). Once you’re done styling, it’s time to render and download your subtitled video.
